A nice hotel in a good location - in a very quiet area and about 10 - 15 minute walk to main shopping/eating areas (over the river). Also about a 10 minute walk from Westfield shopping centre. 15 minute walk from Foch metro so easy to get too from the aiport using public transport. Room was a REALLY good size and was very clean and modern. Bed was super comfortable. When we were in Lyon the temperature peaked at 41degrees.......the air con in the room worked well and was very welcome! Breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice. Bathroom a good size and shower was lovely and warm! Staff also very friendly. Lyon is jusy lovely.

Very clean hotel with small but adequate pool and workout space. We got there early and the lady at reception was great getting our bags stored.

Brilliant central location for the Fête des Lumières. We had a family room with two double beds and it was very spacious. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel and worth including in your stay. Everything was very clean. We mostly walked everywhere but the hotel is well located for tram and metro. Will definitely stay again!

Location was very good, easy to access by car and there’s a parking place in front of the hotel, valet parking service was available which was so comfortable. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. No worries at all. After checking out, we wanted to go to have lunch, so we asked the staff if we could leave our luggage with them, and when we returned to the hotel, they had already put our car out in front of the hotel, which was very touching.

Absolutely amazing stay at the Mercure Saxe Lafayette - the staff were very helpful and the facilities and rooms were excellent (just wish the pool was a bit bigger). Other than that, I can’t fault it - and the breakfast spread was amazing, so much choice and in a gorgeous restaurant! The hotel is brilliantly located, a 5 minute walk from the river Rhone and very close to 2nd Arrondissement where all the shops and restaurants are - I will be coming back to Lyon and would recommend the Mercure Saxe Lafayette to EVERYBODY :)

It’s a few minutes walk from the main Lyon Part Dieu Train Station. Overall location is pretty central.Westfield Shopping Centre is next to the Station so a bonus. Breakfast is top notch! The whole team was friendly and accommodating.Classic overall retro decor was a cool touch!

Breakfast was amazing. The breakfast spread was very extensive and everything I tried was delicious. There were even a lot of vegetarian and vegan options too! The free water dispensers on every floor was a very pleasant surprise, especially since my wife loves sparkling water and we both try to be as friendly to the environment as possible. Kudos to this hotel for shifting away from disposable plastic! The beds were comfy too.

Great place to base ourselves in Lyon! It’s situated in a quieter area of Lyon so it’s nice to enjoy the hustle and bustle across the rivers and then return to a peaceful accommodation. The staff are very friendly and had great communication before and after our stay.
